This qualification addresses work in the community and/or residential facilities under direct or regular supervision within clearly defined organisation guidelines and service plans. 

This qualifiaction will assist you to obtain work in roles that involve maintaining the personal care and daily activities of people living with a disability.  This course is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge required to work effectively within the community sector with people with disabilities and to support individual health and emotional well being. 

 

This qualification addresses work in residential group homes, training resource centres, day respite centres and open employment services, other community settings and clients' homes.

 

Students apply knowledge and skills gained through qualifications and/or experience to provide training and support to people with disabilities to enhance their ability to achieve greater levels of independance, self reliance and community participation.
